Mexicali Drinking Game Rules
- Taking Turns:
- Players take turns shaking the dice in the cup and then slamming the cup onto the table, covering the dice.
- Only the player whose turn it is can look at the dice under the cup.
- Announcing Rolls:
- The player announces their roll. The scoring is based on the dice values:
- The higher die is the tens digit, and the lower die is the ones digit (e.g., a roll of 2 and 6 is 62).
- Doubles are scored as the die value multiplied by 100 (e.g., double 3s is 300).
- Special Rolls:
- 21 (“Mexicali”): Beats all other rolls.
- 31 (“Reverse”): Reverses the order of play, counts as 31.
- 32 (“Social”): Everyone drinks.
- The player announces their roll. The scoring is based on the dice values:
- Bluffing and Calling Bluffs:
- If a player doesn’t beat the previous roll, they can bluff a higher number.
- Other players can call the bluff. If the bluff is called:
- If the player was bluffing, they drink.
- If the player was not bluffing, the accuser drinks.
- If caught bluffing on a “Mexicali” roll, the player must finish their entire drink.
- Continuing Play:
- Play continues around the table until everyone has had a turn without beating the highest roll, signaling the start of a new game.
Safety Considerations
- Drink Responsibly: It’s crucial to drink within your limits and not feel pressured to consume excessive alcohol.
