“Colour Blind” is a dynamic and fun card drinking game that tests players’ luck and intuition, involving two teams in a battle of guesses related to the attributes of playing cards.
Here’s a guide to setting up and playing the Colour Blind drinking game.
Equipment Needed
- Deck of Cards: Including jokers, for a total of 54 cards.
- Large Pitcher or Cup: Placed in the center of the table to collect drinks.
- Alcohol: Beer or any preferred beverage for the game.
Number of Players
- 2 or more players: Ideally, an even number of players divided into two teams.
Objective
To correctly guess the color of the cards drawn and avoid drinking penalties. The ultimate goal is to avoid being the team that drinks from the central pitcher filled with mixed drinks.
Game Setup
- Player Arrangement: Divide into two teams of even numbers and sit opposite each other at the table.
- Card Preparation: Ensure a full deck of cards, including jokers, is shuffled and placed face down in the middle of the table.
- Central Pitcher: Place the large cup or pitcher in the middle of the table.
Colour Blind Drinking Game Rules
- Starting the Game:
- Each team selects a player to start the guessing round.
- Player 1 from Team A draws a card face down.
- Guessing Phase:
- Player 1 from Team B guesses the color of the card drawn.
- The card is then revealed and placed in the guessing team’s pile if guessed correctly.
- Drinking Rules:
- Correct Guess: Team A drinks, and Team B adds a predetermined amount of their drink to the central pitcher.
- Incorrect Guess: Team B drinks.
- Jokers and Game End:
- The game continues with alternating turns between teams until both Jokers are found.
- If the same team receives both Jokers, they must drink the entire central pitcher. If each team gets one Joker, both teams share the pitcher.
Bonus Rules
- 2 Guesses: Guess the card’s color and suit for a chance to make the other team drink 3x. Various outcomes adjust the drinking penalties accordingly.
- 3 Guesses: A daring option to guess the color, suit, and card value. Correct guesses end the game with significant penalties for the other team. Incorrect guesses result in heavy drinking penalties for the guessing team.
Foolish Mistakes
- If a player makes an illogical guess (e.g., “Red 11 of Spades”), they are humorously disqualified and suggested to take a rest, adding a light-hearted element to the game.
