The Masterclass Experience
At the Melbourne Gin Festival 2024, participants can join various masterclasses, each offering a unique experience and priced at $120 per person. Here’s a brief overview of each masterclass:
- Father Daughter Masterclass: Hosted by Gavin and Amy Shaw from HM Gin, this masterclass showcases their journey in creating award-winning gins. Participants will explore their distillation process, flavor experiments, and taste three of their gins, concluding with a cocktail takeaway. Price – $120.00
- The Farmers Wife Masterclass: Kylie Sepos, the head distiller, will guide you through tasting all four of her hand-crafted gins. The class focuses on the traditional gin-making process and the unique flavors of Australia. Attendees will learn to make a signature cocktail and might win a bottle to take home. Price – $120.00
- Nosferatu Masterclass: Ashley Mellor, the head distiller, offers a unique experience combining gin tasting with food matching. The class includes tasting five gins and learning about their production and food pairing, accompanied by a dessert sample to demonstrate taste matching. Price – $120.00
- Learn, Sip and Blend with a Master Distiller: Led by Tim Stones of Hickson Rd. Gin, this class is educational, experiential, and social. It includes a tasting of four gin expressions, a brief history of gin, and a blending activity to create a personalized gin flavor profile. Price – $120.00
